Big Day of Giving

WHAT IS BIG DAY OF GIVING?

A program of the Sacramento Region Community Foundation’s initiative to grow local philanthropy, Big Day of Giving is an annual 24-hour community-wide movement that unites the region’s nonprofit sector to help raise unrestricted funds for the organizations that strengthen the capital area. Since 2014, the giving day has generated over $90,000 for Child Advocates of Placer County!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: THE NEXT BIG DAY OF GIVING IS MAY 7, 2020!

Just as important as the funds raised are the collaborative, capacity-building training opportunities that the Foundation offers participating nonprofits in the nine months that precede Big Day of Giving. These trainings fortify organizations’ collaborations with their nonprofit colleagues, deepen their engagements with donors, and strengthen their impact in the community.

Though Big Day of Giving is run by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation and powered by GivingEdge, the region’s online nonprofit knowledge-base, it could not happen without the support of so many. Every year, dozens of businesses, funders, media outlets, civic organizations, and leaders rally to spread the word, sponsor prizes and engage with participating nonprofits. We are immensely grateful for the enormous support given to this event and its mission!
