Friends of CASA is a fun group of friendly women who get together on a regular basis to support and fulfill the needs of Child Advocates of Placer County. We are members of the community who willingly lend expertise on issues facing CAPC, help position CASA in the community and participate in an annual fundraising event.
Founded in 2009 by donor and volunteer, Debby Ziegler, the Friends of CASA Annual Spring Tea is a community fundraiser and social event that brings together a group of like-minded friends who strive to make a difference for children in our community. It was Debby’s desire to create a sustainable model for women to work on an event that supplemented the fundraising activities of Child Advocates combined with a social activity. The idea took off and the first Spring Tea raised $5,000. Over the years, The Friends of CASA group grew, and the fundraiser has become an integral part of funding for the programs and staff at Child Advocates of Placer County. The talents of this group of women are endless and includes artisans, makers, innovators, and showstoppers. This must attend event is held in March each year.
We are growing the Friends of CASA group to maximize our capacity and make an even bigger difference for foster kids and struggling families in our community. We would love to have YOU on our team!
